The titel says it all.
While being sick for a week, I tried some ingredients to make a tea, that fights back all those bacteria.
As a conclusion I have to say, it didn’t quite work out as I hoped it would, but it tastes very good and gives you the feeling of drinking pure health! (Also if you have a glass teapot, you will be delighted while looking at it, jippie)
So what you need is:
- fresh turmeric
- fresh ginger
- some mint
- cinnamon stick
- (little orange/grapefruit)
- one lemon
- some honey
Cut the turmeric and the ginger into pieces of 1-2 cm, break the cinnamon stick as well as you can, wash the mint leaves, put it in your teapot and cover with boiling water. Squeeze the lemon and add that juice as well as the honey. Let it steep for up to 10 minutes and drink it throughout the day.
To let you know, how well this tea is supposed to be for your health, I consulted wikipedia, to find out the great effects of the spices. I don’t claim to have any knowledge on that field!
Ginger is said to be antipyretic (fiebersenkend), antioxidant and antibacterial, also it warms you up.
Turmeric is said to be anti-inflammatory and also has a stimulating effect on the bile.
Cinnamon is said to be antimicrobial and to boost the metabolism (which has a good side-effect to loose weight)
