I wanted to make something for sweet cravings, which isn’t too unhealthy, so I found this recipe on the site of danish blogger Signe.
Because I bought matcha in a japanese shop the other day, which actually wasn’t expensive at all, I mixed some sweet balls with matcha tea. The tea is supposed to have many benefits, but you have to find out for yourself ;-). They are very sweet, may stop your cravings and give you energy.
- 1 cup of dates
- 1 cup of oats
- 1 cup of ground almonds
- a few leaves of mint
- a squeeze of lemon
- 1 tsp of matcha (not heaped, depending on how strong you like it, I find that a little matcha has already a strong taste)
- chocolate for melting (best not to use milkchocolate, for me it was too sweet)
- 1 tbsp of coconut fat
- ground almonds for rolling
Mix 1.-6. in your food processor, until you have a smooth mixture. Taste and find out, if you need any more of any ingredient.
Now roll the batter into small balls.Melt the chocolate with the coconut fat and stir the balls in there. Now cover them with the ground almonds.
Once all are done, put them in the fridge for 20 or in the freezer for 10 minutes. Take them out and repeat the procedure. Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate over your Energy balls and eat them when they are cooled.
Enjoy the awesome sun this weekend (:
